Tonight we went out on a double with the Logans to celebrate Clinton passing the Step 1 boards. We checked out the famous restaurant Sobelmans to see what these burgers were all about... and it was delish!

We had a great dinner catching up and after we got ice cream at Leon's... yum raspberry custard with hot fudge.

After we just couldn't get enough of each other so we went over to our place. Dani and I walked over to speedway to get treats and a redbox. We tried to make the boys happy but ended up getting the worst movie ever- Cowboys vs Aliens. So painfully long and pointless. "At least there was that one really good scene when that guy went down to the river to..." hahaha Thanks guys I needed a fun night and a good laugh after my long work week :)

Jess and I went and got facials tonight and it felt so good to pamper ourselves! These preg hormones and this random winter have made my skin not so cute lately...plus it was free!! Looking forward to getting another one next month :)

We celebrated this year on Sat since I have young womens tonight and Scotty has studying. We had plans to go to pf changs but I've had a cold all week and while we were waiting there I started to feel super sick and had no energy to wait an hour longer... so we went to 5 guys. Romantic huh? Hey, when you are craving hamburgers and fries it sounds way better then chinese food! It was delish. It was fun to have a date night with the hubs and reminisce about past valentine days. We saw The Vow after. Kinda expected more but it was really good.  I love the two actors... they are so cute together. Scott liked it too since it wasn't a typical cheesy chic flick. Totally a movie I will own later.
After we went home and ate chocolate covered strawberries  :)

 Jenna had a gno at her place tonight and it was so fun to catch up with the girls and decorate cookies for valentines day. We don't get to see each other as much these days since the hubs are on different rotation schedules. These girls are my fam out here.. dont know what I would do without them!

BOY!!!

We are so exciting to be having a boy!! I love getting ultrasounds... its so amazing to see this little guy growing inside me. He has developed so much since I last saw him. We could see the 4 chambers of his heart as it was beating, see the blood go through the umbilical cord and into his body, see his little tongue move as he swallowed, see his bones and joints and spine, see his little legs that kick me throughout the day, see his head pressed up against my right side that I can feel every night when I'm laying down, see his hands open and close and see each finger move around, see the lens in his eyes, and of course see his penis!!! It was amazing to skypes with my family and tell everyone the exciting news. So overly happy to finally know what we are having so we can start getting ready for this little guy to come into our lives. I can't wait to meet him...

I'm half way done!!!!! my app says I should treat myself... maybe I'll finally get that prenatal massage? :)

Giving a shout out HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my older sis and bff katie. Wish I was home to celebrate with you. I love you SO much. Thanks for the best bigger sister I could ever ask for... I'm so lucky to have the most caring, loving, fun, spontaneous, hilarious, nonjudgemental, supportive, charitable, selfless, lil weezy lovingest best friend to grow up with. We share so many memories together. Even though we are so different we are that much  more the same!You are a rock in my life. My day feels empty if I haven't talked to you. I would feel so much more lonely out here if I didn't feel connected to you.. sucks living so far away but I guess text/phone calls are better then nothing!

husband update

since the hubs wouldn't dare write on "our" blog and since all I want to post about is pregnancy I thought I would take a sec to update about what scotty has been up too lately. He is in the last half of his 3rd year... in the hardest of the rotations or what they call the "big 3" (Medicine, Surgery, Peds... each one is about 2 months long). He just finished up the first month of Medicine at the VA and is going to start the second month at Froedtert tomorrow. We hated the VA because of the inconsistent hours. I don't care if he has to be on call as long as I know when he will be home. There would be some nights when he thought he would get back around 5 but not come home until 11:00! So I would sit around waiting... without a car. Super frustrating. It all depended on his patients that day and how generous the resident or attendee would be. I've heard that scotty had the worst experience out of the other students out here... which means I should get some kind of prize as the wife for this past month. He has learned that he does not want to be an internal medicine doc... he would rather fix then treat a problem and not spend 3/4 of his time doing paperwork. But its great experience for him! He has until August to decide what he wants to be when he grows up. Orginially he was thinking of being an ortho surgeon but is currently debating between emergency med and anesthesiology. Although these next four months are going to be hard I'm thankful for a husband who still takes the time to make sure I'm doing ok. He always asks if he can do anything for me and I keep telling him its his turn to hold the baby...

Since he wasn't on call over the weekend we took full advantage of a full saturday together and drove down to gurnee mills outlet mall in IL. (I tried to convince him that we should be spontaneous and take the 5 hr down to the Mall of America...maybe next time lol) It was so nice to walk around all day :) I finally got my jamba juice and was able to use gift cards for some shopping! Funny story... we hit up mcdonalds on the way back and I saw this kid talking to scotty while he was refilling his drink and I thought he said "I'm really glad your here" and scotty said "thanks"...  so I started laughing on the way out only to find out he really said "I really like your hair" haha first of all- what guy says that to another guy?? So now our inside joke is...

"I'm really glad your here"
