Candy Cane Lane

Its not really a lane...but rather an entire block of houses that are decorated like crazy. Santa is even there and hands out candy canes when you make a donation to some charity. Since we don't have snow yet and it still hasn't hit me that's its December... it was a great night to get us in the Christmas spirit!!

Happy Birthday Hubs

28!!

if you had a birthday shout HOORAY! we want to sing to you today. one year older and wiser too. Happy birthday, to YOU!

I keep giving scotty grief that he turned 28 but he reminded me that I'll be turning 25 next... we are getting old!

We usually can't celebrate Scottys birthday because it always around finals so we got excited that this would be the first year that we could actually go out... but his birthday happened to be on a Sunday haha. He was also on call Saturday night so we couldn't go out until Monday. We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and it was so delish. It was so nice to have a good meal and be with my birthday boy. Seriously best hubsand ever...

miller time {weekend recap}

here in Wisco instead of going to Temple Square to see the lights we head over to Miller Valley. Not to down play the ghettoness but they actually put on a really cool light show thats fun to check out. Very festive. Although its starting to get freezing cold, it was a nice date night with the hubs to get us into the Christmas spirit. We went out to Noodles & Co. for dinner and spend the night cuddled up watching Elf.

On sat we went to the Halls to play a Dance 3 game on their wii.. it was so hilarious to watch the boys get there dance on. Jess and I are getting pretty good at Britney Spears (I felt like I was 13 again dancing to oops I did it again haha) We made hot chocolate with their cocomotion and chilled after so the boys could watch the Badger football game. It was a fun and relaxing weekend :)

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

Although we don't have any pictures to prove it, Scotty and I had a great Thanksgiving break :) Some holidays are just not the same living away from home but we made the most of it by getting together with friends and enjoying a fabulous meal. Since we didn't host we spent the morning putting up Christmas decorations and watching the Packers game. We ate at the Jackmans with some other couples and we all went over to the Logans to meet up with more couples for desert. Everything was so delish!

Scotty and I spend the rest of the weekend decorating, shopping and relaxing! We have so much to be grateful for at this time. Just to name a few of our many blessings...

woodmans (a less expensive grocery store so we can get the most for our limited amount of $)

imessage (so we can text through his itouch when his phone doesn't have service)

an amazing husband

Our life right now is seemingly perfect and with only a year and a half left in Milwaukee we are making the most of our time and looking forward to our future.

Yes the much anticapated Breaking Dawn came out today and you know I went and loved it. The hype of it all isn't as big in Wisconsin which made it even more hilarious to show up in our twlight shirts and be the first in line. We went with the Halls and Thoresteds. Fun night!

Total wish list... even though these things would be nice, Christmas to me is going home. I am so ready to see family. I really need to start getting our present shopping done.

I went down to Chicago with some of my girls and we had an amazing time sightseeing, eating, shopping, and catching up!

We walked a ton, ate Garretts popcorn (chicago mix- cheese & caramel), went shopping on Michigan ave, and got some deep dish pizza for dinner. We were all exhausted at the end but it made for a funny drive home.We had such an amazing day...seriously my favorite city:) We need to do this more often!
